Beroze Bana and Rakhi Vaid are Partners in Bana Vaid & Associates, a general high street practice catering for the needs of the local community and beyond. We have two offices, one in Hillingdon and the other in Hayes.

Making a will is a partnership between Solicitor and client. You will obviously have an idea of whom you would like to benefit from your estate when you die. We can advise you as to the best way of doing this ensuring that you avoid the risk that your intentions may be misconstrued resulting in your assets going to someone else whom you never intended.

We can help you write your will in the most effective and tax advantageous way for you. The importance of making a will cannot be overstated. After years of hard work and carefully saving, your estate may end up in the hands of someone whom you never intended it to go to. This would happen if there was no will or if it was defective (that is, it was not signed or witnessed correctly)

You can also set up trusts if you would like someone to look after an asset for the intended beneficiary until for example, the beneficiary is older or where the beneficiary may be disabled. You can express who should pay any inheritance tax if any is payable.

Our Partners regularly advise private clients in relation to their wills and also the preparation of Enduring Powers of Attorney. As evidence of our commitment to encourage the preparation of wills and as part of our service to the community, we attend at the local offices of Age Concern to prepare wills and to provide general legal advice on matters relating to elderly clients.

We also have a Probate Department where we can assist in winding up affairs of deceased family members. We endeavour to deal with this as sympathetically as possible bearing in mind that the matter should also be dealt with speedily and professionally.
